I specialise in all aspects of non-contentious construction law, acting for all parties involved in the construction sector.
I head up the Davidson Chalmers Stewart Construction team, and in doing so work closely with the firm’s Real Estate and Infrastructure and Projects teams, advising on the construction elements of development agreements, agreements for lease and sale and purchase agreements.
I draft and negotiate all forms of construction documentation, including building contracts, subcontracts, professional appointments, collateral warranties, guarantees, bonds and the like. I regularly advise clients upon both standard form and bespoke construction contracts, having experience of working with all of the major construction industry standard forms, including JCT/SBCC, NEC and ICE.
I have worked with a wide range of high profile clients, including Tartan Leisure Limited (advising them on all construction contracts required for the Lost Shore Surf Resort, a world-class development in Edinburgh), Chris Stewart Group, Muir Group and student accommodation provider VITA Group.
