I advise clients on a broad range of property and rural business matters.
I regularly deal with property project contracts including renewables option and lease agreements, forestry plantation agreements, property security documentation, acquisitions and disposals, and providing transactional support on the property and project elements of corporate sales and acquisitions. I also conduct property due diligence and advise on financings and sales, including heritable title and Certificates of Title for funders.
I have a particular interest in rural diversification projects and assisting clients with tailoring legal solutions to their specific business needs. Diversification projects are often complex transactions that are multifaceted, and there is always a great deal of satisfaction in being able to bring such matters to a successful close.
A large volume of diversification projects are renewables based, and my experience in this sector is extensive. I routinely deal with projects relating to wind farms, access and over sail, battery storage, and hydrogen. Having gained experience in working for both developers and landowners in such matters, I am able to navigate the project demands with efficiency.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my young family, rural life, and exploring the beautiful coast of Moray by land and sea.
