Simone Young Promoted to Partner

Davidson Chalmers Stewart is pleased to announce the promotion of our Head of Construction, Simone Young, who becomes the firm’s 13th partner.

Recruited in 2015, Simone is a non-contentious construction law specialist with extensive experience acting for a variety of clients across the sector. Based in our Edinburgh office, where she works closely with her real estate, planning and renewable energy colleagues, Simone advises clients on procurement matters, negotiating all forms of construction contract.

She has worked with a wide range of high profile clients, including recently delivering all of the construction contracts, on behalf of Tartan Leisure Limited, for the Lost Shore Surf Resort, a world-class development set to open later this year near Edinburgh Airport. Other clients include the Chris Stewart Group, Muir Group, Shetland Space Centre Limited and student accommodation provider VITA Group.
