Her presentation will focus on ‘Assessing the potential implications of changes to SEPA’s regulatory framework for practitioners in the brownfield sector’.
In this session Laura will discuss:
– What does the new regulatory strategy – “One Planet Prosperity” mean in practice?
– Changes to communication between SEPA and those they are regulating.
– Providing a framework to take forward the better environmental regulation: the new legislation supporting this.
– Detailing changes to waste exemptions and licensing and the possible impact on brownfield and construction projects.
Ahead of Laura’s conference presentation she participated in a Q&A session with the conference organisers. You can see Laura’s answers to these questions here.
The 10th annual Brownfield Land Scotland conference will bring together expert lawyers, regulators, consultants and industry representatives to provide up-to-date information on the regulatory framework affecting brownfield development, as well as practical solutions to many of the risk assessment and remediation challenges associated with contaminated land and groundwater.
